Jalapeno Records, celebrates our 20th anniversary with the release of a compilation, showcasing highlights from the label’s illustrious 20 year history. The compilation features 20 seminal tracks from the labels back catalogue, providing a unique snapshot of a label that has quietly established itself as one of the most important funk and soul labels in the UK today. Jalapeno Records is at the epicentre of the UK’s funkiest dance labels. Formed in the late 90’s by producers Skeewiff, the label has encompassed many genres with one proviso – it’s got to be funky. In the years that followed Jalapeno Records has amassed a huge catalogue featuring timeless releases aimed squarely at the dancefloor including tracks found on sub label imprints such as Boogie Angst, Illegal Beats and Floorplay.
